Happy Hips: Mobility & Strength for Life

 

Hip issues affect at least 10% of the population, and is a leading cause of disability as we get older, and hip fractures in older acts as a catalyst for a steep decline in health.

 

We will learn the integral part that our hips play in our everyday movement, and how common limitations can affect other parts of the body in big ways. Learn how to regain and maintain proper mobility and strength in your hips to support movement and balance for life.

 

What to Expect:

 

Learn how your hips affect movement, posture, and other areas of the body, and discover practical exercises to improve hip mobility and strength.

About the facilitator:

 

Dr. Whit Voss is a local Alameda chiropractor who has helped hundreds of people transform their journey to optimal function, and thrive in an elevated quality of life. With advanced training in functional movement assessments, ergonomics, and directional preference biomechanics, Dr. Whit helps his patients be more present, patient, and passionate for the things that matter to them. Gentle Yoga and Sound Bath with Jenn

This event is more than a sound bath. It is truly a soothing symphony bath!

 

From 7-8:30pm, indulge in 45 minutes of gentle Yoga and a 45 minute Sound Bath. Starting with grounding and breathwork, then easing into a gentle practice you will find your way back home to the body.

 

After gently moving the body, enjoy an immersive listening journey to soothe and relax your mind, body and soul. This full-body experience uses different sounds and frequencies to invite deep relaxation and rest.

 

With the use of Tibetan and crystal bowls, chimes, gongs, sea and wave drums, monochord, harmonium and voice, Jennifer invites you to go within and find a deeper sense of calm.

Bulletproof Your Back: Strengthen, Heal, and Prevent Pain

Low back pain is the #1 cause of disability in the world, and thats no surprise given how the low back is stressed with nearly every movement and activity we do. It doesn’t matter whether their job includes a lot of lifting or sitting, people get pain in their low back.

 

In this workshop you will learn common causes of back pain, how your daily life may be contributing to that pain, have some myths debunked, and learn some easy exercises you can do at home to keep your low back strong and resilient.
